Engaging a diverse workforce through transformation
Vestas, a leader in the global wind turbine market, needed to transform its service division of 13,000 employees with a new operating model aimed at efficiency.
We collaborated to create a communication and rollout strategy to inspire employees.
Everything changing, all at once
Vestas faced a full-scale transformation of its service division. This included adjusting job roles, streamlining processes, and uniting a diverse global workforce under one new operating model aimed at efficiency.
It was necessary to engage all employees, from data scientists to field technicians, ensuring they felt seen and motivated while addressing the uncertainty around changing roles and practices.
Turning insights into actionable design
The Manyone team conducted 30 interviews globally to understand how Vestas employees think, feel, and work – insights which shaped a communication strategy.
We also prototyped solutions, including digital touchpoints and VR training rooms, and aligned on an approach supporting knowledge-sharing and community-building across the Vestas' global division.

We developed a core narrative, "No one sees the world like we do," unifying Vestas’ employees from the office to the field.
A new onboarding experience, as well as change ambassador kits and virtual communities of practice, were created to support employees in adjusting to the new model.
Our approach, rooted in human insights and executed through design, facilitated communication and engagement across all levels of Vestas’ global workforce.
