A unique take on a modern urban lifestyle

Introducing EIN, the world’s first weightless electric bike trailer. A sustainable solution for modern cities, featuring sleek design and hassle-free mobility.

Challenge

Innovating urban transportation

Biomega aimed to create a lightweight, versatile bike trailer that redefined urban transportation. The challenge was to develop a product that was easy to use for families and professionals alike, while maintaining high functionality and without compromising on aesthetics or sustainability.

Approach

Designing for simplicity and efficiency

We conceptualized and designed the electric, single wheel, detachable trailer. The intelligent, rechargeable digital motor detects motion in the bike and responds with its own power, in proportion, creating a ‘weightless’ cruising experience. In other words, more assistance when needed and no assistance when you don’t. The focus was on usability and versatility, ensuring it could seamlessly switch between transporting children and cargo.

Outcome

An award-winning design for modern city dwellers

Referencing the German word for 'one,’ the Biomega EIN is the first of its kind – a unique take on a modern urban lifestyle. It was fully funded within 24 hours of its launch on IndieGogo. It went on to win the GOOD DESIGN award, affirming its innovation in both design and functionality. The electric bike trailer represents a new sustainable transport accessory for contemporary city dwellers.
