In the face of a post-pandemic job market and rising expectations from candidates, Austrian Airlines needed to modernize its employee value proposition and recruitment processes to stay competitive and build a future-ready workforce.

We conducted interviews, focus groups, workshops, and market research with candidates and employees to ensure we reflected Austrian Airlines' culture, values, and future aspirations. We also gathered an external perspective on HR trends and expectations.

The result was the launch of a new employee value proposition, a streamlined recruitment process with automated workflows, and a visually engaging career page. This latter delivery promoted effortless candidate engagement where candidates can apply with a single click, and hiring managers benefit from intelligent, automated workflows.

increase in workforce in just 18 months

Since the transformation, Austrian Airlines has hired 1,200+ new employees, accounting for 20% of its workforce in just 18 months.

This success reinforced their position as a desirable employer, culminating in a "Best Strategy & Employee Attraction" award at the 2024 Austria Employer Branding Awards.

Besides a new employee value proposition, Austrian Airlines now has an attractive Career Page and a state-of-the-art talent attraction process.
