Positioning a revolutionary tool
Katalist empowers companies to decarbonize the shipping industry by compensating emissions within the value chain – an insetting approach that ensures real impact. We partnered with Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and the Foundation Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping to invent Katalist, transforming their technical solution into a compelling brand with a new name, visual identity, go-to-market strategy, and website. The project was delivered in just three months and launched at COP29 in Baku.
Redefining a game-changing platform
Born from RMI and the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, Katalist bridges the gap between carriers using sustainable fuel and companies aiming to reduce shipping emissions. The team had a product that they believed in, but were unsure how to effectively share it with the public. With COP29 approaching, they needed a partner they could trust to deliver a precise, market-ready solution at speed.
We approached Manyone with a complex product and a tight deadline. Their clarity and integrated approach ensured we could achieve something unthinkable: a cohesive new brand and website ready to launch in time for COP29.

An integrated full-service solution
Together, we identified the need for a flexible, multi-channel effort based on a strong foundation to communicate the mission. We started with insights-driven positioning. The new name, Katalist, reflects the platform’s role as a spark for change, embodying action, transparency, and purpose. We developed a minimalist yet bold visual identity alongside a new website, prioritizing accessibility and sustainability.
Trust was central to the project’s success. The team’s confidence in Manyone to deliver a full-service solution, combined with their active participation and close collaboration, made it all possible.
The website highlights impact stories and tangible actions, positioning Katalist as a trusted, transformative solution
We started with strategy – asking who they are, what they want to say, and their position in the market. That foundation made every decision straightforward, ensuring all deliverables, from branding to website, were perfectly aligned.
