A dynamic identity for a dynamic festival
Heartland Festival is more than a festival; it’s a curated universe where music, art, talks, and gastronomy come together. To mark its 10th anniversary, Heartland chose Manyone to evolve its visual identity and create a digital experience that brings the full journey together. Building on a clear strategic foundation defined by the Heartland team, we helped shape a distinct way to express and communicate the festival’s unique cultural position.

The new visual identity, unveiled
Capturing a festival of many dimensions
Heartland had a strong concept, loyal audience, and a clear ambition for how it wanted to be perceived, but its identity and digital presence fell short of expressing the full richness of the experience. At Heartland, participants can move effortlessly between live music performances, world-class culinary experiences, and thought-provoking contemporary art. It's a place where culture, conversation, and creativity converge – an experience far richer and more layered than its brand and digital touchpoints conveyed.
The challenge was to translate this foundation into a cohesive visual and digital universe that could unify its many dimensions while preserving its distinctive cultural character.
Assets for social media
The team quickly understood what makes Heartland special. They helped us articulate and express a festival that is many things at once: vibrant, curious, sensory and deeply human.

HeartlandDifferent elements, one shared rhythm
We set out with an exploratory and holistic approach, bridging strategy, design, and technology into one coherent experience. Building on Heartland’s strategic direction, we explored different expressions of its character to shape something that felt true to the festival.
In many ways, this mirrors what Heartland itself does: bringing together music, art, talks, and gastronomy into one connected cultural experience. Different elements, one shared rhythm.
The result is a cultural platform that feels playful and inviting, while still being clear and purposeful. It is supported by a communication concept “Det bedste sted at være” ("The best place to be") – a simple, flexible idea uniting the many facets of Heartland. At the core is a flexible visual identity, designed to adapt across formats and moments, supporting everything from practical information to storytelling and discovery.
A flexible tool for endless expressions
A universe built to be explored
Designed to carry the full breadth of the festival, the new identity is modern and filled with movement, pulse and joy, yet versatile enough to embrace every side of the experience. At its heart is Hjerterum, Heartland’s first independent logo, connecting every touchpoint, from campaign materials to the festival site itself.
The resulting platform is a unified Heartland universe where positioning, identity and digital experience work seamlessly together. It strengthens communication, improves navigation, and invites deeper engagement – reflecting a festival that brings people closer to the moments that matter.
