What’s all the fuss about tech.life at Novo Nordisk?
We developed a dynamic and credible platform that reflects the real tech culture at Novo Nordisk. It’s called tech.life, and it highlights how groundbreaking technology is used across the company to innovate their business. The goal is to increase Novo Nordisk's visibility among tech talent, while attracting the right candidates – digital specialists who can see themselves in Novo Nordisk's tech environment.
Fierce competition? Flashy response
At Novo Nordisk, a wide range of new technologies play an increasingly important role in streamlining and improving the development and production of medicine. But the competition for the best digital talent is fierce, and Novo Nordisk was often perceived as more of a traditional pharmaceutical company – and not necessarily a place where advanced technology plays a crucial role. The challenge was to shift perceptions and create a digital experience that stood out in the competitive tech recruitment landscape, positioning Novo Nordisk as an attractive and leading workplace within tech, globally.


Contrast for visibility, coolness in adaptability
We led a comprehensive process, from conceptualisation to delivery, collaborating with Novo Nordisk to develop tech.life – a user-centric website designed to engage tech professionals. The project began with stakeholder workshops and focus groups, gathering insights from internal teams and potential candidates.
Tech.life shows a different side of Novo Nordisk – a dynamic universe that communicates directly to tech talent. We developed in-depth technical content and highlighted real tech stacks and developer experiences. Using a flexible CMS, we built a fast, responsive platform, ensuring smooth UX and a visually appealing design.

Authenticity is central to the platform. Videos and profiles highlight not only the role of technology in the workplace, but also the larger meaning of work: contributing to life-changing innovation for patients around the world.
Front to backend excellence
The campaign site is Novo Nordisk’s first dedicated career site for digital talent and a strategic innovation within employer branding. The engaging, content-driven site showcases Novo Nordisk’s innovative tech environment – from the stories told at the frontend, to the code on the backend – communicating with digital experts, on all levels.
Since its launch, the platform has helped reduce time-to-fill for IT, data, and digital roles by over 10%. Several new hires mention that tech.life played a role in their decision to apply for the specific job. It also propelled Novo Nordisk to the top of Universum’s 2024 IT employer rankings in Denmark, moving to #1 among students and #2 among professionals.
As the platform continues to evolve, tech.life continues to strengthen the company’s position as an attractive tech workplace – now and in the future.

The platform was shortlisted for the Danish Digital Award 2025 in two categories: Best Website and Best in Digital Design (UX/UI).
