Engaging a diverse workforce through transformation

Vestas faced a full-scale transformation of its service division of 13,000 employees. This included adjusting job roles, streamlining processes, and uniting a diverse global workforce under one new operating model.

There was a need to engage all employees, from data scientists to field technicians, ensuring they felt seen and motivated, while addressing the uncertainty around changing roles and practices.

Turning insights into actionable design

We conducted 30 interviews globally to understand how employees think, feel, and work. These insights shaped a new communication strategy.

We prototyped solutions, including digital touchpoints and VR training rooms, and aligned on an approach supporting knowledge-sharing and community-building across the global division.

Uniting perspectives through a shared vision and centralised platforms

We developed a core narrative, "No one sees the world like we do," unifying Vestas’ employees globally, from the office to the field.

A new onboarding experience, as well as change ambassador kits and virtual communities of practice, were created to support employees in adjusting to the new model.
