For the past year, we’ve worked closely with the HRH's Sustainable Markets Initiative, in which we are also a founding partner. The initiative aims to lead and accelerate the world's transition to a sustainable future by putting Nature, People and Planet at the heart of global value creation. In this, our role is to support with strategic design and digital development to ensure maximum impact.
Through the Sustainable Markets Initiative HRH The Prince of Wales is gathering the world's leading businesses and asking for their commitment towards investing in a sustainable future. To ensure a seamless and state of the art experience, Manyone is creating the design architecture and digital experience of their website, and a soon to be released global online solution and investment platform. The platform will be a central hub for scaling investments in global sustainability solutions by bringing together thousands of investors with hundreds of high-impact projects.
In this regard, we are proud to be a founding supporter of the Terra Carta. Marking fifty years of engagement as a global voice for change on sustainability and environmental issues, HRH, Charles, The Prince of Wales has launched the Terra Carta, a bill of rights that puts Nature, People and Planet at the heart of global value creation. The "Earth Charter" provides a roadmap for businesses to move towards an ambitious and sustainable future; one that will harness the power of Nature combined with the transformative power, innovation and resources of the private sector. The charter outlines ten areas for action and comprises nearly 100 actions for business to follow towards a more sustainable future.
As businesses commit to the Terra Carta, the solutions and investment platform, that Manyone is building, will be the central hub for investments through the Sustainable Markets Initiative.
The Sustainable Markets Initiative was publicly launched by HRH The Prince of Wales in January 2020 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. In September 2020 at Climate Week NYC, HRH called for a Marshall-like Plan for Nature, People and Planet, and with the unveiling of the Terra Carta the first big step has been taken towards a more sustainable future for business globally. The Terra Carta can be viewed and downloaded at the Sustainable Markets Initiative’s website.
