CASE

DR Koncerthuset

A beacon for the fine arts.

The unique architectural landmark in the Danish capital of Copenhagen is designed by the French architect, Jean Nouvel, and it is home to the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. With this in mind, our work in designing the digital experience reflects the identity of the institution at every level.

The web design seamlessly accommodates the identity of the concert hall building, which itself is inspired by Danish author Peter Høeg and his famous book ‘Smilla’s Sense of Snow‘.

Architecturally, this is symbolised on the outside as a magnificent blue structure that resembles an ice glacier. The main concert hall itself on the inside poses as a meteor wedged into the ice within the glacier. The choice of colour and user experience caters to this, integrating elements in the side that amplify the experience of visiting the iconic concert hall.
